How much does treatment cost?
For our Basic Dermatology Plan, we offer an affordable option with a transparent pricing structure. The cost is tailored to the specific services included, covering general consultations, limited diagnostic procedures, standard treatments, and generic medications. This plan emphasizes cost-effectiveness, providing essential dermatological care at a reasonable price point. Additional services and branded medications may incur extra charges.
On the other hand, our Comprehensive Dermatology Plan offers a more inclusive and personalized approach to skin care. The cost reflects the extensive range of services, including unlimited access to consultations, advanced diagnostic procedures, cosmetic treatments, and a broader selection of prescription medications. While this plan comes at a higher price, it provides comprehensive coverage and priority access to a wide spectrum of dermatological services, ensuring a holistic and customized approach to your skin health.
For specific pricing details and to discuss which plan best suits your needs, we recommend reaching out to our billing department or scheduling a consultation with one of our dermatologists. They will be happy to provide a detailed breakdown based on your individual requirements and preferences.
Does insurance cover your services?
At Gotham Dermatology, we accept insurance for medically necessary dermatological services, recognizing the importance of accessible healthcare. Insurance typically covers treatments deemed medically necessary to diagnose, prevent, or treat a medical condition. Conditions such as acne, eczema, dermatitis, skin infections, and skin cancer fall under the category of medically necessary treatments and are generally covered by insurance.
However, it’s important to note that cosmetic procedures, which are elective and primarily aim to enhance appearance rather than treat a medical condition, may not be covered by insurance. Cosmetic treatments such as Botox injections, dermal fillers for wrinkle reduction, and laser therapy for skin rejuvenation are examples of services that are typically considered cosmetic and may not be covered by insurance.
Before any treatment, our team will work closely with you to determine the medical necessity of the proposed services. We will assist in verifying your insurance coverage and providing transparent information about what is covered and what may be considered elective. Patients are encouraged to check with their insurance providers to understand the specifics of their coverage and any potential out-of-pocket expenses related to cosmetic procedures.
Gotham Dermatology is committed to ensuring clarity and transparency in our billing processes, and our staff is available to answer any insurance-related questions you may have to facilitate a smooth and informed healthcare experience.
